Fantasy Herald Button Exchange

.:main::button home::list:.

Welcome to the Fantasy Herald button exchange. This is an exchange for fantasy genre websites. It is a project which is intended to generate traffic between fantasy themed websites.

Requirements

To join website must meet the following requirements:

  1. It must be in some way related to the genre of fantasy such as literature, writing, television, movies or games. We prefer original art or fiction / fanfiction.
  2. The content must not directly contest any copyright.
  3. The site cannot contain any pornographic or hate content and remain within the realms of good taste. "adult" content is usually fine as long as it is labeled.
  4. Once the site is accepted into the exchange it's content cannot be changed dramatically, particularly to a site outside of the genre or that violates any of the other restrictions.
The same retrictions apply to the button I reserve the right to eliminate sites from the exchange for these or any other reasons. If I feel a site is being abusive to the system or good taste I will not hesitate to delete it.

Button Code Placement

  1. The button code must be placed on the exact page which is to be linked. If you are putting the code on a links page that is the page that will be entered into the program running the buttons.
  2. The button code should be visible horizontally (They can be on the bottom of a page) with a 800x600 resolution. ie. I shouldn't have to side scroll to find it.

I will no longer be looking for button codes as actively as I've been. It is the responsibility of the webmasters to report ant site changes to me at either jack_link(at)operamail.com or in our forums

What You Get

The Fantasy herald ISN'T an impression swapping exchange. There are no ratios. Each button has an equal chance of being shown each time the code is viewed. This makes it a great traffic building resource for newer sites and allows more established sites to lend a helping hand to the community.

For link popularity enthusiests (and honestly an easy way for me to check sites) each active member is added to our static list. Which gives a direct link to their site.

The exchange may run an ads to help pay for the service. These ads will appear more infrequently than the ones used by our old third party, who took 10% 'off the top'. I'm just putting in an ad in the regular rotation, so the more sites the less likely it will be there will be an ad served. This may change cause I really do not know what I'm getting into hosting the exchange itself.
